Graz Airport donates to the blind and visually impaired

In December 2023, Graz Airport collected 2.000 euros in donations as part of the “Waiting for the Christ Child” campaign. These were doubled by the operating company and handed over to the Styrian Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired.

“Inclusion should actually be so self-evident that we no longer have to talk about it,” explain Wolfgang Grimus and Jürgen Löschnig, the managing directors of Graz Airport. “But since a lot of educational work is still necessary here, this year we are supporting the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, with whom we worked together in the fall on the campaign around the “Day of the White Cane.” The Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired is financing Over 90% comes from donations, which are therefore needed in all areas of activity.

“The areas of aid, social and legal advice should be highlighted here. In these areas, we offer comprehensive advice and assistance for people with severe visual impairment or blindness, including authorization to process applications,” explains Christian Schoier, chairman of the Styrian Blind and Visually Impaired Association. “We would like to thank the visitors to “Waiting for the Christ Child” and Graz Airport for the “Christkindl” donation.”
