The low-cost airline Wizz Air is now also offering three weekly routes to Catania from Hamburg. Rome will follow on March 31, 2024, which will be visited four times a week.

“So far, Wizz Air’s offering has been aimed primarily at people who want to visit family and friends back home. I am all the more pleased that the airline is now flying to southern Europe from Hamburg for the first time, thereby offering even more variety for holiday travelers. I am pleased that our northern Germans can now travel with Wizz Air to the holiday region of Catania – and to Rome from the end of March,” says Dirk Behrens, Head of Aviation at Hamburg Airport.

“We are pleased to announce the start of our new flight from Hamburg to Catania. This route opens the doors for German passengers to travel to Italy, where they can enjoy the beauty and unique experiences that Catania and Sicily have to offer,” says Valeria Bragarenco, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air.
