The last holiday weekend will be dominated by return travel. Transit traffic will be delayed, especially coming from Hungary before the Nickelsdorf border towards Austria and towards Germany before the Suben and Walserberg border crossings.

On the route Nickelsdorf (A4) - Schwechat (S1) - Vösendorf (A21) - Steinhäusl (A1) - Linz (A25) and A8 in the direction of Suben or from Fügen (A9) to Graz and Linz and further towards Germany, in the event of an accident or Defective vehicles can be expected to quickly form traffic jams. In Austria, you should plan for a loss of time on the entrances to metropolitan areas on Sunday evenings.

According to the ÖAMTC, the last competition of the Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen on January 6th will also be a visitor magnet. Experience has shown that many German ski jumping fans travel to the event. Arrival and departure will once again aggravate the situation in front of the tunnel construction site on the A10. In addition, traffic jams are to be expected both on the Tauern Autobahn (A10) in the Pongau junction area and on the Pinzgauer Straße (B311).
