The International Airlines Group has officially registered its takeover of 80 percent of Air Europa with the antitrust authorities. If the transaction is approved, the Globalia subsidiary would be completely taken over.

IAG currently holds around 20 percent of Air Europa. Now it is the turn of antitrust authorities such as the EU Commission. Both Globalia and the International Airlines Group are confident that clearance will be granted over the next year. The deal failed at the first attempt. Now IAG explains that extensive concessions have already been made. That's why we expect the green light.
