Innsbruck: Politicians criticize the suspension of Frankfurt flights

In Tyrolean politics and business, Lufthansa's decision to suspend the Innsbruck-Frankfurt route served by its subsidiary Air Dolomiti at the start of the 2024 summer flight schedule period was not well received at all.

In addition, some politicians want information that Austrian Airlines should also cut its Vienna route. It is claimed that the midday flights should be eliminated. Now they want to work at parliamentary level to ensure that Frankfurt flights remain and Vienna is not thinned out.

Those politicians who are particularly vocal are once again failing to recognize that both Lufthansa and its subsidiary Austrian Airlines are private companies. The days when the AUA, as a state-owned company, had to fulfill politicians' wish lists are long gone.
