Japan's All Nippon Airways posted record profits in the first half of the current financial year, which ends on March 31, 2024. The ANA Group therefore achieved an operating income of 6,53 million euros with sales of the equivalent of around 5,69 billion euros and operating costs of around 845,2 billion euros. This results in a net result of the equivalent of around 607,4 million euros - almost five times the corresponding previous year's value. The Japanese market leader thus achieved a record profit margin of 12,9 percent.

The net result for the first half of the year also marks a historic high for the ANA Group. “Due to the focus on financial management, the operational implementation of numerous measures and the continued support from our customers, we are able to pay a dividend to our shareholders for the first time in five years,” said Kimihiro Nakahori, Executive Vice President and Group Chief Financial Officer of ANA Holding. “The positive development of the ANA Group underpins our strategy of positioning the company for sustainable growth. The results of the first half of the financial year reflect the contribution of our employees to achieving our goals.”

In ANA Group's core aviation business, demand for international and domestic passenger travel was strong. It was supported by the recovery in inbound travel to Japan and leisure travel. Revenues were significantly higher than in the same period last year. Sales increased due to expansion in business scale, while profitability improved significantly thanks to comprehensive cost management initiatives.
