KLM is threatened with losing many slots in the USA

The Dutch government's “noise and climate protection plans” could cost KLM dearly in the United States of America, as it is expected that the US Department of Transportation will deprive the carrier of around 1.000 slots or 22 percent of the current US offer become.

This would be the US government's response to the fact that 1.135 take-off and landing rights at Schiphol Airport are to be withdrawn from US airlines. The background is that the Dutch government wants to limit capacity under the guise of “noise and environmental protection”. Jetblue, among others, is running a storm against this. If this were to be implemented, it would have negative consequences for KLM, especially in the USA.
