The South Tyrolean regional airline Skyalps carried out its first flight on the Düsseldorf-Linz-Düsseldorf route on Monday, October 30, 2023. This route is now served three times weekly by de Havilland Dash 8-400.

Some time ago, Austrian Airlines had to hand over the Düsseldorf route from Linz to its sister company Eurowings. However, he was unable to operate the former racetrack profitably, so it was discontinued together with Graz-Stuttgart. A new operator was then found in Skyalps.

The Düsseldorf-Linz-Düsseldorf circuit is carried out with aircraft stationed in Bolzano. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the route from the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia does not go straight back to South Tyrol, but first to Linz and back to Düsseldorf.
