Lufthansa: City Airlines will launch later

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Actually, City Airlines, the latest start-up of the Lufthansa Group, should have been in the air long ago. However, there have been delays. It is now assumed that this will happen at the beginning of 2024.

Negotiations between management and unions are ongoing in the background. The aim of the discussions is to ensure that a collective agreement can be concluded. The employee representatives are currently still confident. City Airlines was founded as a kind of clone of the existing Lufthansa Cityline and is intended to operate feeder flights for the parent company in Frankfurt am Main and Munich. We currently have an Airbus A319, but it has not yet been used commercially.
