The German airline Lufthansa wants to counteract demand by reactivating more Airbus A380s.

The carrier specifically plans to increase the A380 fleet in operation to six aircraft, reports the Aero.de portal, among others. Lufthansa plans to operate eight superjumbos by 2025. In the past, there were significantly more copies, but some were separated due to the corona pandemic. These were sold back to the manufacturer. The six and later eight A380s will primarily be used to fly to the USA.
