A few days ago, work began on the construction of a new warehouse for Lufthansa Technik's tools, engines and ground equipment on the Munich Airport site. This will also house offices and social rooms for employees.

In the future, the operating resources required for the maintenance of Airbus A1.500, A320-340 and A600 engines will be kept on an area of around 350 square meters. Entire replacement engines will also be stored in the new building in the future.

The new hall is scheduled to open at the end of 2024. Since spare parts and machines are now “stored” separately, more space is to be created in the hangar for aircraft. This increases the capacity of the Lufthansa Technik location in Munich.
