October 2023 was the strongest month at BER so far

October 2023 was the single month with the highest volume since the opening of Berlin-Brandenburg Airport. It was used by 2,36 million travelers, around 90.000 more than in September 2023.

There were 2022 million passengers in October 2,1 as a whole. In October of the pre-Corona year 2019, around 3,2 million passengers were counted at the then Tegel and Schönefeld airports. A total of 19,5 million passengers took off and landed at BER in the first ten months of this year. That is almost as many as in the entire year of 2022 with 19,8 million passengers. Last month around 17.400 aircraft took off and landed at BER. That is around 1.400 more aircraft than in October 2022. In October 2019, around 25.600 flight movements were registered in Tegel and Schönefeld.

In total, around 2023 tons of air freight were loaded at BER in October 3.100, almost as much as in the pre-Corona year of 2019.
