The Romanian airline Animawings is expanding its fleet with two Airbus A220-300s. These are leasing aircraft that are obtained through a lessor.

The carrier wants to take over the new additions this year so that more capacity is available in the 2024 summer flight schedule. The local portal Boardingpass.ro first reported on the upcoming fleet.

The Romanian airline was once majority owned by the Greek Aegean Airlines. Animawings has now been completely sold to Christian Tour Holding SA. The transaction was completed in December 2023. The fleet currently consists of an Airbus A320.
