Fee dispute: Ryanair cuts in Faro and Porto

The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has announced that it will once again reduce its offering from Faro and Porto airports in the 2024 summer flight schedule. The background is that airport fees will be increased by around 17 percent.

The low-coster's criticism is primarily directed at the regulatory authority ANAC, as it is accused of waving through "unjustified price increases". The carrier wants to offer the capacity currently used from the two Portuguese airports from other airports, mostly outside Portugal. Around 40 routes are affected by the cuts.
