Scot fights on board Easyjet flight

Tumultuous scenes occurred on an Easyjet flight from Edinburgh to Antalya on Saturday, April 20, 2024. A Scot is said to have aggressively insulted other travelers and then attacked a man and a crew member.

According to British media reports, the man, who was wearing a soccer team jersey, initially attracted attention because of extreme insults. He then attacked a Turkish police officer, who was not on duty but on board as a private citizen. A member of the crew is also said to have received blows when he tried to intervene. After landing in Antalya, the troublemaker was taken away by the Turkish police.

“EasyJet can confirm that police were present upon arrival of a flight to Antalya on April 20, 2024 due to misbehavior by a passenger on board. Although such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and will not tolerate abusive or threatening behavior. The safety and well-being of all our customers and crew is always our top priority,” airline Easyjet said in a statement.
