On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, a total of six airports in France had to be evacuated and temporarily closed due to bomb threats.

The reasons varied, as at some airports the threats came via social media or email and at others they involved unattended luggage. The airports affected were Beauvais, Toulouse, Nice, Nantes, Lyon and Lille. The executive branch was able to give the all-clear in the meantime.
