Stuttgart Airport was used by a total of 2022 passengers in the recently completed year 6.970.317. The German airport thus counted 95,1 percent more passengers than in 2021, when there were 3.561.294 travelers.
The airport expects demand to continue to rise in 2023. According to preliminary information, the number of flight movements in 2022 was 61.534 take-offs and landings, an increase of 66,2 percent compared to the previous year (2021: 37.022 flight movements). “Passenger numbers for 2022 are still well below the levels we knew before the pandemic. However, the significant increase compared to the previous year is another positive milestone on our consolidation path," says STR Managing Director Walter Schoefer.
