The year 2022 was particularly successful for tourism in the Balearic Islands, with 16,47 million guests. Of these, 13,2 million holidaymakers came from abroad. Revenues of 17,3 billion euros were generated.

According to the Spanish statistical institute, travelers spent four percent more in direct comparison with 2019. On average, the people paid 1.051 euros for their holidays. It can also be heard from the large hotel chains that they are satisfied with the sales they made in the previous year. For example, the Rui Group was able to record a 2019 percent increase in Mallorca alone compared to 30. Competitors Meliá and Barceló were even able to double their sales.
