Higher wages: Verdi and MDF-AG reach an agreement

Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG and the Verdi union have reached a collective agreement at Dresden and Leipzig/Halle airports. This stipulates that employees should receive a staggered salary of up to 500 euros more per month. One-off payments of up to 2.800 euros have also been agreed.

“We are pleased that we have reached a collective agreement with the Verdi union. This agreement marks the end of five rounds of negotiations, which were accompanied by strikes and numerous canceled flights. The accepted offer represents the maximum balancing act between what is economically feasible and ver.di's demands. Above-average pay increases were agreed especially for employees in the lower pay groups." emphasizes MFAG CFO Ingo Ludwig and adds: "Despite the major economic challenges and the Despite the structural peculiarities that we as a company are confronted with, today's conclusion has enabled us to substantially address the needs of our employees. The collective agreement thus contributes to the economic stability of MFAG and secures long-term employment.”
