The low-cost airline Ryanair will not offer Tel Aviv flights from numerous airports, including Vienna-Schwechat, for an indefinite period of time. Capacity will be shifted to other routes that will be increased.

According to the current state of affairs, Ryanair will not be offering any Tel-Aviv flights from the DA-CH region in the 2024 summer flight schedule, among others. Originally it was said that it was just a temporary flight break due to the fee dispute in Israel exists, but this situation seems to last longer. The airports affected by the closure include Vienna-Schwechat, Berlin, Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden, Memmingen and numerous other airports.

Ryanair intends to return to Tel Aviv at a later date, but at the earliest when Terminal 1, which has lower fees, becomes operational again. The competitor Wizz Air maintains selected routes to the Israeli metropolis, but points out during the booking process that the additional costs for using Terminal 3 will be passed on to the passengers.
