Weitra: 5G cellphone mast set up by helicopter

Helicopters are extremely versatile aircraft. For example, at the end of March 2023, a helicopter was used in the construction of a 5G mobile radio station in Weitra, Lower Austria.

Since the material, consisting of the mast and sector antennas, could not be transported through the Weitra Castle itself to the castle tower, it was decided to use a helicopter to assemble the heavy load from the outside. The entire unit, which was prefabricated on the ground, was flown a few hundred meters from the helicopter up to the tower. The pilot then had to place the construction on the carrying rope with millimeter precision. The operation was recorded with several cameras. The resulting clip in "No Comment" format shows the spectacular flight from multiple angles.
