From May 19, 2021, catering establishments in Austria will again be able to serve guests indoors. This also applies to the airline Austrian Airlines, which will again be offering hospitality in the lounge at Vienna-Schwechat Airport from Wednesday.
The fact remains that only the Business Lounge in the Schengen area of Terminal 3 will be open. Due to the official requirements, one was not allowed to entertain for about half a year, but only given a snack package. Eating and drinking was not allowed in this waiting area, which is legally covered by gastronomy.
A company spokesman confirmed the reopening of the catering to Aviation Direct and stated: “We will be offering normal catering again from May 19th. The menu plan is currently being worked out. We will continue to have the Business Lounge Schengen (F Gates) open as a One Class Lounge. The opening times remain unchanged. We will record the contact details of all guests using a form that can be filled out voluntarily upon entry. The registration at reception and the scan of the boarding pass remain unchanged. There are currently no plans to check vaccination or test certificates. The hygiene and distance rules as well as the FFP2 mask requirement still apply in the lounge. The consumption of food and drinks is only permitted at the tables ”.
