The Working Group of German Airports has found that so-called PRM services were used significantly more frequently in the first half of the current year. Almost 914.000 passengers used this service, more travelers than before the pandemic.

The use of the PRM service at German airports will increase in the first half of 2023. In comparison, the total passenger volume between January and June 2023 is still 26,4 percent below the 2019 level, while the PRM volume in the same period is only 7,7 percent below 2019.

ADV Managing Director Ralph Beisel comments on the development: “We want to make traveling as pleasant as possible for passengers with limited mobility. People with disabilities must not be disadvantaged in their mobility and enjoyment of travel. The airports will stick to this in the future and will continue to communicate with the national authorities and local disability associations.”
