The airlines Neos and Air Astana have agreed to cooperate. Among other things, they want to set up a code-sharing agreement between Amlaty and Milan-Malpensa.

“We look forward to our strategic partnership with Neos and to developing new initiatives together to benefit our mutual customers. Thanks to this agreement, Air Astana passengers will enjoy additional flexibility and choice when flying between Kazakhstan and Italy,” said Peter Foster, CEO of Air Astana Group. “In 2005, Air Astana concluded the first interlining agreement. Since then, the Group has continued to expand its relationships with additional international airlines in Asia and Europe, so that our passengers always benefit from options for travel around the world.”

We also want to cooperate as follows:

  • Cooperation in the operation of Boeing aircraft from 2025, when Air Astana Group will put three Boeing 787-900 aircraft into service. The plan is to exchange technical and operational insights based on the experience gained by Neos with the current fleet and Air Astana with the new aircraft.
  • Consideration of establishing a joint venture on the route (or future routes) between Italy and Kazakhstan, provided there are no objections from the regulatory, antitrust and government authorities.
