The Latvian airline is launching a new online tool. From now on, the Covid-19 travel document check for passengers on direct flights to Riga will be carried out during the online check-in process.

“Due to the various changing Covid-19 restrictions, it may take additional time for the passenger to check-in at the airport. With the introduction of an automatic travel document check during online check-in, we expect a significant reduction in waiting times. It will make the travel experience for our passengers more comfortable and pleasant ”, says Air Baltic boss Martin Gauss.

So far, several thousand passengers have already tested the service and provided their Covid-19 travel documents required to enter Latvia. If a passenger cannot or does not want to check their documents online, they can still do so at the check-in or boarding counter at the airport. In the near future, the airline plans to introduce the service for passengers to and from other countries.
