As a result of the coronavirus crisis, the income and the number of passengers carried have fallen significantly. The Latvian airline expects a loss of 2021 million euros for the first half of 61,5.

 “Although our sales continued to decline in the first half of 2021, this summer was more promising as we managed to carry a larger number of passengers than in the summer of 2020. This reduced our net loss compared to the first six months of 2020. With the cost reduction in 2020 and the focus on the Airbus A220-300, we are now much better positioned for the new normal ”, says CEO Martin Gauss.

In the first six months of 2021, the company achieved sales of around 50 million euros, 40 percent less than in the same period of the previous year. The number of passengers carried and the number of flights operated by the airline decreased by 59 percent and 51 percent, respectively.
