On Sunday the Airbus A220-300 number 26 arrived at Riga Airport with the YL-AAZ. Operator Air Baltic announced that it is the first of a total of seven deliveries planned for this year.

The Latvian airline has ordered a total of 50 machines of this type. There are also options for 30 more copies. “This year Air Baltic is offering 96 routes from the Baltic States, thereby strengthening our position as the leading airline in the region. We see that with the increasing vaccination rate in Europe, the demand for vacation travel is recovering. To support our future return to profit and growth, we plan to have 2021 Airbus A32-220 aircraft in our fleet by the end of 300, ”said Air Baltic CEO Martin Gauss.
