After a long break, Budapest Airport is once again getting a non-stop connection to the Chinese capital Beijing. This is served by Air China with Airbus A330-200, which have 237 seats.
“More than seven years ago, Air China became the first airline to connect us to East Asia in years. While entry restrictions into China remain in place, the resumption of this service provides an important opportunity for VFR passengers returning home after a two-year hiatus, as well as for business travelers. We are also pleased to confirm that this connection, which was previously a triangular connection with a stopover in Minsk, will now operate directly between Budapest and Beijing to ensure a smooth connection between the two cities,” says Balázs Bogáts, Head of Airline Development, Budapest Airport
In June 2022, Hungary's largest airport grew by 10,3 percent and thus recorded the largest growth so far over the course of the year. Great importance is attached to Air China's comeback because it is one of the first eleven European routes to be reactivated by this carrier.
