Air Nostrum launches new Andorra route

Advertising

The Spanish regional airline Air Nostrum will operate temporary domestic flights between Palma de Mallorca and La Seu d'Urgell from January 5, 2023. These are financially supported by the government of Andorra.

The Andorra-La Seu d'Urgell Airport is located on Spanish territory near the border with the small state of Andorra. The operator is the Catalonia Airport Company. The government of Andorra has been trying to bring more traffic to the airport for a long time so that the small state's connections to the rest of the world improve. However, this happens with extremely varying degrees of success.

Air Nostrum announced that the Palma flights that are now being launched will operate on Friday and Sunday. This route is currently limited to the end of March 2024. A decision has not yet been made about a possible continuation. In addition to ACMI and charter activities, Air Nostrum is mainly active as an Iberia franchisee.
