A few days ago, Flughafen Zürich AG held its periodic general meeting of shareholders. All of the Board of Directors’ proposals were approved. In addition to the usual dividend, the partners should also receive an additional profit distribution.

The focus of the 2024 General Meeting was on the business development in 2023 and the developments in the current financial year. Flughafen Zürich AG reported a profit of CHF 304.2 million for the past year. The significant increase in earnings can be attributed to both the aviation and non-aviation business.

This year's general meeting in “The Circle Convention Center” was the first with Josef Felder as President of the Board of Directors and Lukas Brosi as CEO. All transactions on the agenda were approved in accordance with the Board of Directors' proposals, including the distribution of an ordinary dividend of CHF 4.00 per share and an additional dividend of CHF 1.30 per share. This year, non-financial reporting was also voted on for the first time.

The members of the Board of Directors Claudia Pletscher, Corine Mauch, Guglielmo Brentel, Stephan Gemkow and Josef Felder (President) who are up for re-election were elected for another year. The mandated representatives of the Canton of Zurich on the administrative board are the economics director Carmen Walker Späh, who is responsible for the airport dossier, as well as Beatrix Frey-Eigenmann and Vincent Albers. The representatives of the canton on the airport operator's board of directors are not elected by the general assembly, but are delegated by the government council of the canton of Zurich.
