The holiday airlines of the Turkish Corendon Group have announced that SAF has recently been added to the kerosene on selected flights to/from Antalya.

The so-called Sustainable Aviation Fuel is purchased from Petrol Ofisi. First, the SAF addition to/from Antalya is carried out on the Boeing 737-800. After its introduction at Antalya Airport, Corendon Airlines plans to use the sustainable fuel on its aircraft at Izmir Airport on the Turkish Aegean Sea next year. The total amount of SAF added is to be at least doubled by 2025 and increased tenfold within five years.

“The use of SAF plays an important role in our efforts to reduce CO2 emissions in aviation,” explains Yıldıray Karaer, CEO of Corendon Airlines. “We therefore want to further expand the use of this alternative fuel in our fleet and thereby live up to our responsibility for more environmentally friendly operations.”
