In August 2021, the number of passengers at Niederrhein Airport was “only” seven percent below the value achieved in 2019. A total of 108.942 travelers used Weeze Airport.

We are very pleased that our flight operations have recovered so quickly this summer after the difficult past months. Our airline partners reacted early and significantly increased the range of flights to the sunny destinations in the Mediterranean and to friends and family. We are very confident that the very positive development will continue ”, explains Managing Director Sebastian Papst.

Weeze regional airport currently has 85 take-offs to 32 destinations per week. According to the airport, the destinations of Malaga, Mallorca, Alicante, Palermo and Zadar are currently heavily booked. With regard to the autumn holidays, Weeze said: “The upcoming autumn holidays are already well booked. Ryanair and Corendon Airlines with their tour operator partners have once again expanded their range of flights. Customers can choose from 95 weekly departures to 35 destinations until the end of October. "
