The expansion of Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport is to be tackled again after the construction work was stopped when the Corona crisis hit.

The parties involved planned the enormous expansion of Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport. The future capacity of the so-called Dubai World Central was originally intended to be 260 million travelers per year. The expansion of the airport to a capacity of 2025 million was scheduled for 150, but later the year 2030 was specified for these goals. The construction work was dropped when the corona pandemic struck and the expansion was a thing of the past at that point in time. However, this goal is to be resumed.
