As part of the current strategy program, Austrian Airlines has already announced the amalgamation of divisions in order to make better use of synergies within the company and to reduce management positions. Now the marketing & product area of the red-white-red airline has been merged.

Sebastian Lüttmann will take over the management of the new Austrian Brand Experience division from February 1, 2021. Lüttmann, who is currently still in charge of passenger care and aircraft handling at Austrian Airlines in Vienna, will in future be responsible for the entire marketing and product management of the Austrian airline.

The two areas of revenue control and network planning will also be merged. The current head of network planning, Robert Heusmann, will take over the management of the newly established “Network Management & Revenue Steering” division from February 1, 2021. Heusmann is responsible for the network planning as well as the control of prices and revenues at Austrian Airlines.

Austrian Airlines board member Andreas Otto said: “I am delighted that with Sebastian Lüttmann and Robert Heusmann we have been able to win two experienced managers from our own company for new positions. You are taking the next step in your career at an extremely challenging time. Both are crisis-tested and will use their expertise to push ahead with the realignment and modernization of our Austrian Airlines. "

Sebastian Luettmann (40) took on his first job at Lufthansa in Frankfurt as a consultant for controlling in 2005 after completing his training as an aviation clerk and studying international business administration. In his 11-year career at Lufthansa, he worked, among other things, as assistant to the Executive Board Hub Frankfurt & Flight Operations. In 2011, Sebastian Lüttmann moved to the Airport Operations and Services division in New York. Until 2015, he was responsible for process, cost and quality management for 26 Lufthansa stations in North and South America. Since October 2015 he has been in charge of passenger care and aircraft handling at Austrian Airlines in Vienna. Lüttmann lives in a partnership.

Robert Heusman (45) started his career after studying economics at Lufthansa in 2001 in tariff policy. In 2005 he switched to network control, where he was responsible for pricing and yield management. He took on his first management position in 2007 as team leader for revenue management at the Munich hub. After a stint in Dubai as Head of Human Resources for Africa and the Middle East, he moved to Austrian Airlines in 2012 as Head of Revenue Management, where he has held various management positions since then. In 2016 he took over the management of the fleet planning for the hub airlines Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS. In this role, he was responsible for the short and medium-term fleet planning for the hubs in Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and Zurich. Heusmann is married.
