Train: "Tui Ferien Express" should be revived

The Tui travel group wants to increase package tours again in the future, which include arrival and departure by train instead of by plane. This is intended to tie in with the "Tui Ferien Express" that was discontinued in the early 1990s.

A pilot project carried out in the winter of 2022/23, which brought skiers from the Netherlands to Austria, went well. CEO Sebastian Ebel told the Tagesspiegel that the range of train package tours would be greatly expanded within the next five years. One is currently looking for international partners, i.e. modes of transport. The "Tui Ferien Express" existed from the 1970s until the early 1990s, when it was given up as no longer up to date.
