Bergamo: Aeroitalia cancels Southend flights

Aeroitalia actually wanted to start a non-stop connection between Bergamo and London-Southend on March 25, 2024. Nothing will come of it.

The carrier planned to fly six times a week between Bergamo and Southend-on-Sea from the date mentioned. Due to a lack of demand, the “emergency brake” was pulled before the first flight and this route was not taken up. This is a further setback for Southend Airport, which has so far seen only a fraction of the traffic it had before the pandemic.
