On Wednesday, December 7th, 2022, the airline Norse Atlantic Airways started a non-stop connection between Berlin and Fort Lauderdale. This is expected to be offered until March 24, 2023. No decision has yet been made about a possible continuation in the 2023 summer flight schedule.

The Norwegian low-cost airline, which specializes in long-haul routes, operates this route three times a week on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Flight time is approximately ten hours and thirty minutes.

“For many people in the region and throughout Germany, a trip to the USA is a dream, and Florida in particular is a place of longing. With the non-stop connection by Norse Atlantic Airways from BER to Fort Lauderdale near Miami, the fulfillment of this dream is getting closer. I am pleased about the extended long-haul offer, which is also a strong signal for the transatlantic partnership," said BER boss Aletta von Massenbach.
