Birmingham: Start-Up Hans Airways stands without a plane

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

As early as February 2024, the de-registration of the only aircraft operated by the startup Hans Airways was initiated. The Airbus A330 has now been formally returned to the lessor. So far, the project has not been able to obtain an AOC.

The plan was to start non-stop flights between Birmingham and the United Kingdom. It seems that Hans Airways, like Flypop, will also fizzle out. There is also another similarity, as Lessor Carlyle Aviation was able to find a new lessee for the former G-KJAS: Hifly Malta, which now uses the aircraft as 9H-HFH.
