The Latvian airline wants to hire 320 additional crew members by next summer - 120 pilots and 200 flight attendants.

Particular attention should be paid to the reinstatement of former pilots who had to be fired due to the pandemic. Of course, the company is also planning with graduates from the in-house pilot academy.

“We are pleased about the increasing demand for travel and are flying to various new destinations this year. In the course of a globally increasing vaccination rate and relaxed travel restrictions, we are ready to adjust our flight operations again to the circumstances. For this reason we have decided to hire our former employees again and to add new team members to our crew for the next summer season ”, says Air Baltic boss Martin Gauss.

In addition to pilots, the airline will also welcome experienced flight attendants and candidates with no prior knowledge of aviation. The reinstatement process begins this fall and will progressively last until the beginning of summer 2022. The airline currently employs a total of 1366 people - including 200 pilots and 342 cabin crew.
