The aircraft manufacturer's crisis jets are turning out to be a production starter - at least in the last month. Thanks to the high demand for 737 Max jets, Boeing was able to clearly see its order book there.
According to its own information on Tuesday, the company received orders for a total of 73 aircraft in May, 61 of which were the majority for Max models. This means that the series remains the company's bestseller. The two crashes and the subsequent flight ban apparently do not change that.
Taking into account cancellations and rebookings, Boeing brought in 20 new orders last month. The aviation portal reports Aero. The US group achieved a positive net result for the fourth month in a row and performed better than Airbus - in May, the European manufacturer only booked four new orders. Only in terms of deliveries was the competition clearly ahead: while Boeing only sold 17 aircraft, the Europeans handed over 50 new aircraft to their customers.
