The low-cost airline Wizz Air received a grade of “B” in the latest CDP climate ranking 2023. This means an improvement compared to the previous period, in which it was rated “D”.

“The B rating in the CDP ranking proves that Wizz Air is doing the right thing to manage its environmental impact,” explains Yvonne Moynihan, Corporate & ESG Officer at Wizz Air. The airline already operates with the lowest carbon footprint per passenger and kilometers worldwide. “We are proud that we were able to significantly improve our CDP ranking this year, especially considering that CDP has tightened its evaluation criteria.” The competitor Ryanair was able to achieve a grade of “A”.
