Closing: ÖBB have taken over Go-Ahead Germany

ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG has completed the takeover of Go-Ahead Deutschland and has therefore been represented by railway companies in regional transport in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg since February 1, 2024.

“Go-Ahead should continue to operate independently in the future. From now on, ÖBB will be at your side as a strong partner. We look forward to sharing our know-how with our new colleagues. In a first step, we are starting the integration project in which future collaboration and interfaces will be defined,” emphasizes ÖBB CEO Andreas Matthä.

There are no changes to the current offers and timetables at Go-Ahead Germany. With the takeover by ÖBB, existing traffic is secured until the end of the traffic contract and there is a clear goal of continuing to grow in Germany in the long term. The company is to be continued under the existing management with the current management. The new brand name is expected to be announced during the first half of 2024.
