The Romanian airline Dan Air has been connecting Nuremberg Airport with Brasov and Bucharest for a few days. According to the airport, flights to the Romanian capital are to be increased to four per week.

"This is not only good news for the large Romanian community in the metropolitan region, but also for holidaymakers and business travelers," explains Nuremberg Airport Managing Director Dr. Michael Horn. In addition to the extensive Romanian population group in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg, the Franconian automotive and mechanical engineering supplier Schaeffler, for example, is represented with a large production site in the Brasov (Kronstadt) region.

Matt Ian David, Managing Director of Dan Air and a pilot himself, was on board for the maiden flight.
