The Latvian airline Air Baltic carried around 2022 passengers in December 288.900. This means that in direct comparison with December 2021, it was possible to increase by 62 percent. There were also 12 percent more flight movements. The carrier announced that it operated 3.140 flights.

“The last month of the year confirms that the winter season continues to be very promising for Air Baltic. Although demand is traditionally declining at this time of year, it is currently evident that the path to pre-pandemic results is being continued," says company boss Martin Gauss. “A growing number of passengers are planning their trips up to two months in advance and more, while also enjoying our most popular winter destinations – Vienna, Munich and Tenerife. However, the main task for Air Baltic remains the same – to maintain and preserve these positive indicators in 2023 by continuously demonstrating our strong position in the Baltic market and a wide range of connectivity options to Europe and beyond.”
