Delta acquires Wheels Up

The US airline Delta Air Lines has acquired around 95 percent of the charter provider Wheels Up together with a consortium of financial companies that include Certares and Knighthead.

The provider recently had to go into insolvency proceedings. From this one was now bought out among other things by Delta. Around half a billion US dollars are to be invested together with the partners. This should give Wheels Up the necessary financial stability for further expansion.
