If you planned all your vacations in advance last year, only every twentieth German would like to travel abroad during the autumn break. This was the result of a survey by the polling institute YouGov.
Nine percent are still planning a break within the country for the school holidays. Seven percent of those surveyed have changed their minds and are now foregoing a previously planned trip abroad because of the Corona crisis. In contrast, two percent of those surveyed will skip an excursion planned in Germany. On the other hand, more than two thirds of those surveyed (70 percent) will not even pack their suitcases and spend their holidays at home.
Last week, Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) advised against traveling abroad in the imminent autumn and winter holidays in view of the increasing number of corona infections.
