From Wednesday, the 3G certificate for the use of all public transport will start in Germany. This also includes air traffic. In Baden-Württemberg, the ground staff should check the certificates when boarding at the latest.
Specifically, the change means that local and long-distance trains and buses as well as other public transport including air traffic may only be used for recovery, vaccination or testing. Anyone who has not been vaccinated or recovered must show a negative corona test.
While the check is very easy in aviation, because, for example, you can have all passengers at the check-in counter for "document control" or carry out this directly at the gate, the check in trains, buses, trams and subways should already be be much more complicated. It is to be expected that, analogous to ticket controls, random checks can be carried out if necessary.
International air traffic from Germany is also affected, but the effects are very limited, as almost all travelers have to carry proof of entry to the destination country or to Germany anyway. What is new is that inner-German traffic now requires vaccination, recovery or testing.
