The CoV pandemic pushed the listed catering company even deeper into the red in the 2020/21 financial year.

The bottom line was a deficit of 35,5 million euros, after a loss of 24,9 million euros in the previous year. Sales fell during the pandemic by more than two thirds from 935,4 million to 253,5 million euros, as the group announced on Thursday. In the Airline Catering segment, sales revenues plummeted from 670,3 to 188,6 million euros.

But DO&CO is also serving up positive signals: In the third and fourth quarters of the business, the trend reversal towards a consolidated profit was achieved. There has been a “significant expansion” in the US business. For example, a ten-year contract has been signed with Delta Air Lines in Detroit. DO&CO is continuing its partnership with Austrian Airlines, which has existed since 2007 - the catering contract, which expires at the end of 2021, has been prematurely extended by a further six years until the end of 2027.
