Dorothea von Boxberg will be the new boss in Brussels

The Belgian airline Brussels Airlines was able to reveal the announcement of a new management to the public. Dorothea von Boxberg is taking over the post of CEO after being a member of the Lufthansa Cargo Executive Board.

The new head of the Belgian airline Brussels Airlines will take up the post of head of Brussels Airlines on April 15, 2023. In the past she was CEO of Lufthansa Cargo. In Belgium, she will also take on the role of “agent of the board of directors at the European Commission”.

"I am very pleased that with Dorothea von Boxberg, an accomplished and experienced airline manager from our own ranks is taking over the management position at Brussels Airlines. With her extensive knowledge and broad understanding of cargo and passenger airlines, she will continue to drive the successful transformation of Belgium's national airline Brussels Airlines in the coming years," said Christina Foerster, Member of the Executive Board of the Lufthansa Group and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of SN Air Holding.

The successor to Dorothea von Boxberg is to be announced as soon as possible, but it is not yet known who will succeed him at Lufthansa Cargo.
