Dusseldorf: Aviapartner flashes in court against Wisag license

After many years, the ground handling company Aviapartner, which operates at Düsseldorf Airport, loses its license. In the course of a tender, the competitor Wisag was able to assert itself. The previous owner unsuccessfully went to court.

Aviapartner tried to fight the decision of the Ministry of Transport of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia with the help of an urgent application. However, the judges rejected this, so that the award to Wisag and two other companies should be difficult to contest.

Only a few weeks ago, the Verdi trade union criticized the fact that Aviapartner, which has been active in Düsseldorf for many years, was refused an extension of the license in the course of the new tender. Since the change to the summer flight schedule 2023 and thus immediately before Easter 2023 takes place, the employee representatives warn of a possible chaos.
